Maui Inter-island Photographer | Sydney & Garrett’s Kona Wedding | Hawaii
Congratulations to Sydney and Garrett on their Kona wedding. Being a Maui Inter-island Photographer, I was excited to photograph their day. The couple traveled all the way from Los Angeles, California, to celebrate at a private beachfront house. Their Kona wedding planner handled every detail, ensuring the day flowed smoothly from start to finish.
As their Maui Inter-island Photographer, I began the morning by capturing the bride as she got ready.
Indeed, Sydney looked relaxed and radiant while her bridal party helped her with the final touches. Meanwhile, Garrett sat on the porch, looking calm and handsome as he waited for their first look. Of course, the soft ocean breeze made the moment feel peaceful and warm. No doubt, I had a feeling this Kona Wedding would be a day fueled with cheer and love.
Afterwards, we moved to the beach for Sydney and Garrett’s first look.
This moment was extra special because, unlike most weddings, the couple chose to share their vows before the ceremony. They stood together by the water, reading words they wrote straight from the heart. It was private, emotional, and incredibly touching. The sound of the waves made their promises feel even more meaningful.
After they exchanged vows on the beach, the ceremony began. Indeed, the lush greenery surrounding the space, made it feel natural and intimate. Notably, the bridesmaids wore dark green dresses, which created a beautiful contrast against Sydney’s white gown. Opposite, the groomsmen wore chic style suits that matched Garrett. Then, when the couple said, “I do,” everyone was ecstatic.
Following the ceremony, the celebration continued outdoors on the grass.
As shown below, the Kona Wedding reception decor was timeless. The grounds of the private property venue had monsteras and layers of tropical greenery. Certainly, the shade made it comfortable for guests as they laughed, ate, and toasted to the newlyweds.
Finally, we slipped away for sunset photos on the beach. The Kona lava rocks and glowing sky created a dramatic backdrop. Sydney and Garrett looked stunning as the golden light shined around them. I would say their Kona Wedding was blissful.
