Love, Sand, A Secret Plan | Jamie and Davis | Makena Cove Proposal
What started as a family photo session turned into a life-changing Makena Cove proposal for Jamie and Davis. Everyone told Jamie it was just a casual family shoot at the beach. But behind the scenes, Davis had a big Makena Cove Proposal up his sleeve.
To begin, I snapped some relaxed photos along the shoreline.
Indeed, the waves were calm and the light was golden. Strikingly, Jamie wore a gorgeous red dress that moved beautifully in the breeze. Davis looked sharp in khaki pants, a plaid button-down, and dress shoes. Little did Jamie know, soon, her face would turn just as red as her dress from shock. In general, dress code was casual enough for family photos, but ready for something more.
What Jamie didn’t know was that the entire family was in on Davis’s Makena Cove Proposal plan.
Then came the big moment. Davis dropped to one knee. With the waves and lava rocks surrounding them, Davis popped the question. Definitely, Jamie was completely surprised. Her hands flew to her face. She smiled, gasped, and laughed all at once. It was pure emotion. And of course, she said yes. As shown in photos, you’ll see how happy everyone was.
With that said, their family on the sidelines watched and erupted into cheers. Of course, everyone helped make that Makena Cove Proposal moment happen. Certainly, it was a gift to have the family there to witness bliss.
Jamie’s reaction was pure joy—total shock, followed by laughter, and an instant “yes.” The moment was emotional and full of love. You could feel the excitement from the family behind us, quietly cheering them on.
After the proposal, I took photos of Jamie and Davis as a newly engaged couple. Her red dress against the deep blue ocean was stunning. Every frame was full of love and excitement. Then we brought the entire family back in for more photos. There were hugs, happy sighs, and so much support. You could feel how much love surrounded them. Certainly, Jamie was ecstatic to show off her stunning diamond.
After the proposal, we continued with a mix of couple and family portraits to capture all the love and celebration. Jamie and Davis couldn’t stop smiling.
