I Run To You | Alicia and Gavin | Maui Tropical Plantation Wedding

Not only was Alicia and Gavin’s Maui Tropical Plantation Wedding a blast, but it was perfect. Again, thank you for trusting me as your Island Photographer. It was an honor to photograph your wedding.

In fact, because of the west Maui wildfires, Alicia and Gavin rescheduled their wedding venue at Napili Bay to the Maui Tropical Plantation. Although Alicia and Gavin did not have an oceanfront wedding, they soaked in Maui’s central landscape. As an Island Photographer, I found many couples prefer beachfront weddings. However, the Maui Tropical Plantation wedding venue exceeded Alicia and Gavin’s expectations.

Futhermore, about Alicia and Gavin’s love story.

In brief, Alicia and Gavin met in 2013 at a 200-mile relay race. Both are avid runners. After three years of friendship, they made it official to be exclusive.

Located in the city center of Maui, the Maui Tropical Plantation Wedding venue was beautiful.

Altogether, it had a local charm like no other. The wedding venue offered fantastic views of the West Maui mountains, lush greenery, and space for 300+ guests. Indeed, the views were enchanting. Especially when the evening sun highlighted the West Maui mountains.

Being an Island Photographer, I was thrilled to meet a fun, energetic couple.

No doubt, I loved working with them. Their vibe was go with the flow, which made for a smooth wedding day. After seeing Alicia and Gavin share endless laughs and joy, I could sense their infinite love.

To begin, I photographed Alicia and Gavin getting ready at their condo. After we arrived to the wedding venue, I captured Gavin’s first look; with his friend who pranked him. Of course, Alicia and Gavin’s first look was magical. Uniquely, Alicia wore a beautiful two-piece dress. As shown below, the bridesmaids wore pretty Aloha print dresses. On the other hand, Gavin and his groomsmen wore khaki linen pants and a white shirt, which was perfect for a wedding in Maui. All in all, what a beautiful wedding party!

Notably, the ceremony was by the pond facing the west Maui mountains. As your Island photographer, I like when a bride’s veil floats in the air. As a result of the strong winds, Alicia’s veil was gorgeous and floated. Of course, I caught the perfect veil shots. Again, the couple and their guest didn’t mind the gust. Following the ceremony, I photographed Alicia and Gavin for more portraits on the property. Finally, it was time to dance, eat, drink, and dance some more.

All in all, another great couple who switched their Maui wedding venue. Congratulations to Alicia and Gavin on your wedding. Again, thank you for trusting me, your Island Photographer.
