Mauna Lani Resort | Ashley and Ross | Big Island Wedding

Congratulations, Ashley and Ross, on your wedding at Mauna Lani Resort. Indeed, thank you for trusting me as your Interisland Wedding Photographer to capture your wedding. Certainly, it was a pleasure to be part of your day.

YAS, it was a dream to photograph such a lovely couple as Ashley and Ross at the Mauna Lani Resort.

Firstly, the Mauna Lani Resort is about 30-minutes from Kona airport. Secondly, sitting on 3,200 acres of Hawaiian land, there were plenty of ideas for your wedding. Unlike Maui venues, Mauna Lani Resort had oceanfront, beach, and lawn venues. Due to the location in relation to the five volcanoes, Mauna Lani Resort is a very spiritual place. Lastly, surrounded by Hawaiian fishponds and infinite lava, the views were like no other. Indeed, the landscape was utopian for this Interisland Wedding Photographer.

Continue to read below about Ashley and Ross’s wedding day.

To begin, as their Interisland Wedding Photographer, I snapped portraits of Ashley and Ross getting ready in their private bungalow. And what a lovely dress Ashley wore! She wore an eloquent, long-sleeved mermaid-style dress. At the same time, the bridesmaids wore light pink colors. On the other hand, Ross and his groomsmen wore dark-colored suits. Overall, the wedding party looked ready for the Bridal magazine cover shoot.

Next, the ceremony and reception were private, quite a distance from the hotel. Since Ashley and Ross had a huge wedding party, the Mauna Lani Resort was a perfect venue to hold a large group of guests. Unlike Maui venues, guests can stay outdoors until 10 am. Afterward, guests can party and dance indoors until 2 am.

Mauna Lani Resort Hotel’s wedding coordinator did a fantastic job pulling everything together, from flowers to seating arrangements and reception dinner. Of course, my favorite thing about Ashley and Ross was their sweet charm and willingness to take many portraits. This venue had several options for taking photographs. An Interisland Wedding Photographer’s dream come true. Also, the sunset portraits by the lava rocks was unforgettable. The dark shade of pink-orange lit the sky. Overall, Ashley and Ross were a match made in heaven.

Congratulations to Ashley and Ross on getting married. What a fantastic gift to marry in such a spiritual place. All in all, Ashley and Ross’s Big Island wedding was amazing. Again, thank you for trusting me, your Interisland Wedding Photographer, to be part of your day. As shown below, I’m thrilled to share their images.
