Our signature Sunrise Maui Couple’s Session is lovely, especially in west Maui.
So, my favorite things about a Sunrise Maui Couple’s Session are the calm ocean, little to no wind, a crowd less beach, the sunlight, and the couples.
Here, our lovely Maui Couple’s Session was perfect at Honolua Forest and Ironwoods beach in west Maui. This year, the Californian couple got engaged. Later this year, they plan to wed in the San Francisco Bay area. Of course, being their Maui Photographer, I was thrilled to showcase their beautiful engagement images.
First, we met at Ironwoods beach in Kapalua, in west Maui.
Here, the lighting was spectacular. With the right angles, the sunlight glistened on them. Since there was no wind, the hair of the bride-to-be was on point. Uniquely, the beautiful fiancee wore clear heel protectors to walk on the lava rocks. As noted in my previous blog post, this is a great thing to have for uneven surfaces. Indeed, nothing is as good as the sun’s warmth hitting your face in the early morning.

Next, we met at Honolua Forest for their second location engagement session. Also located in west Maui, Honolua Forest gave my couples something they can’t get elsewhere; a sense of peace and love while embracing nature’s magic. With that said, my Sunrise Maui Couple was in awe at the beauty of the greenery in the forest. Indeed, when the sunlight peeked into the woods, it took my couple’s breath away. When my couples display smiles from ear to ear, I’m delighted to catch it on film.
