Melinda + Richard : Maui Anniversary Photos

I think the majority of Maui photographers would agree that this little island of ours radiates romance. Everything about it is just so charming, beautiful, and enchanting. That’s why I love photographing couples that are celebrating something special! Maui sets the perfect scene.

Melinda contacted me with hopes of capturing some sweet moments with her man for their 10-year wedding anniversary. They are originally from Arizona, but decided to make Maui their permanent home after a few visits. The original plan was to move here AFTER retirement, but they just couldn’t wait (good call guys! Life is too short, anyway)! She mentioned that the pictures would be one of her gifts for her husband since they haven’t had professional photos taken since they got married. I hear this ALL THE TIME! Couples get so caught up in the business of life and they just can’t find the time to squeeze in a couple’s photo shoot. Well…I was more than happy to help them out!

The three of us met at Keawakapu beach in Wailea for a sunset session. Richard and Melinda looked gorgeous in their matching dress whites and they really were the sweetest people! Ten years didn’t dull a thing! It almost seemed like I was shooting newlyweds! And the sunset! Oh my word! It gave us the prettiest shades of purple, blue, pink, and orange. What an awesome evening to capture some romantic beach portraits.
