Kula Family Photography | Upcountry Maui | Jenny Vargas Photography

This Kula family photography session was truly special. I had the honor of capturing a beautiful moment in upcountry Maui, Kula. Indeed this session was full of love, connection, and new beginnings. It was also the first time the engaged couple’s families met in person.

In general, a daughter returned home in Kula to visit her mom in her childhood home.

She brought her fiancé from the UK. Also, his parents and two sisters joined them. Certainly, this made the gathering even more meaningful. As a Kula family photography experience, it was about more than photos. For the most part, the session was about bringing people together.

Being in her childhood home made everything feel warm and personal. The family spent time on the grounds of the property. Everyone talked, laughed, and shared stories. These simple moments made this Kula family photography session special. Not to mention the cute little doggie.

In short, Ohana (family), means love, support, and connection.

Furthermore, Ohana means being there for each other through every stage of life. This session showed how powerful that bond can be. It is especially meaningful when two families come together through marriage. Two different lives and backgrounds become one shared future. As a Kula family photography session, this was a perfect example of that union.

The bond between the daughter and her mom was beautiful to see. There were quiet smiles and warm hugs. It was also touching to watch the two families meet for the first time. There was joy, kindness, and a sense of belonging. These are the moments that matter most in Kula family photography.

The soft light in Kula added a calm and peaceful feeling to the photos. The home and surroundings made everything feel natural and relaxed. Every image told a story of love, unity, and new beginnings.

If you are looking for Kula family photography sessions like this, they are a meaningful way to capture your story. Photographs are the moments that remind us of what Ohana (family) truly means.
