West Maui Elopement | Amber and Joseph | Honolua Forest and Ironwoods Beach

Thanks, Amber and Joseph, for trusting me as your west Maui Elopement Photographer. Congratulations on your marriage. Working with Amber and Joseph to plan and photograph their west Maui Elopement was an honor.

To begin, Amber and Joseph were from South Carolina. I rarely hear a charming southern accent, but when I do, I love it! Amber and Joseph have been together for several years. In 2019, the lovely couple got engaged at Walt Disney World. Surely, I can only imagine how epic that was.

Furthermore, Amber and Joseph have an exciting love story.

While Amber was away in college, her parents often visited a local restaurant. And guess who worked at this restaurant? Yup, Joseph. Surprisingly, Amber’s parents played cupid. Impressively, Ambers’s parents connected Amber and Joseph. After clicking, Amber and Joseph remained friends for about a year. Finally, they began dating. While Amber was in college, she and Joseph dated long distances for three years. Following Ambers’s college graduation, the couple moved to a city in North Carolina. Now they are dog parents to a cute golden doodle. Have your parents ever tried playing cupid, and it worked? Props to Amber’s parents!

With that said, the pandemic put a damper on Amber and Joseph’s wedding plans.

That being the case, they chose to elope. As their west Maui Elopement Photographer, I enjoyed helping guide Amber and Joseph in selecting the best location and venue. Indeed, I provided a list of Maui’s top restaurants and vendors. Amelia H&M co. did Amber’s flawless bridal look. And Dellables was responsible for the gorgeous flowers. And their officiant, Euta Lighty wed Amber and Joseph.

As shown below, Amber and Joseph took their first-look portraits at the Ritz Carlton, pre-ceremony photos at Honolua Forest, and wedding ceremony at Ironwoods beach cliffs. Following the wedding, Amber and Joseph hired a driver to take them to Merriman’s for an intimate private dinner.

Surely, west Maui elopements in Kapalua are always fun to shoot. Indeed, I enjoyed laughing when Amber and Joseph chased away the chickens from their photos. Joseph’s personality lit up his bride, which made photographing the couple effortless. On this day, it was windy. But it was perfect for Amber’s veil shots on the Ironwoods Beach cliffs.

All in all, I enjoyed every moment of Amber and Joseph’s west Maui Elopement. Again, congratulations. I wish you a lifetime of love, joy, and laughter. Thank you for trusting me as your west Maui elopement photographer. As the south would say, “Y’all come back now, ya hear.”
