Home Sweet Home. As Sheila and Ander’s engagement photographer, I couldn’t agree more with feeling love right at home, here in Maui. Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz had it right when she said, “There’s no place like home.” Wouldn’t you agree?

Sheila is a pilot who flies interisland while Anders works at the extraordinary Marriott. Since Sheila and Anders live in Maui, they had the perks of planning their engagement photography session and wedding close to home. So it was a no-brainer for the couple to have their engagement photography session in Maui. Indeed, it’s nice to be home sweet home when you travel for work. Can you blame them for wanting to be in Maui for their engagement and wedding events? 

As their Maui photographer, I was thrilled Sheila and Anders brought their furry babies to the photoshoot. Being a doggy mom myself, I was delighted to capture these cuties. Not to mention, Sheila traded her pilot uniform for her gorgeous engagement dresses and bare feet on the beach. Also, Anders felt great after he swapped his work attire with his slacks and bare feet in the sand. Can we say FUEGO? 

All in all, home sweet home is a place of love, peace, and feeling whole in the arms of your loved one. Seen here, I got to capture these Mauians with love in their hearts and feeling whole in one another’s arms.
