Jessica + Vincent: Engagement Session

I’ve probably said this hundreds of times by now, but I LOVE be a Maui Engagement Photographer (insert Heart Eyes emoji here)! There’s no missing all of the love and romance radiating out of the couple you’re photographing. And you can’t help but smile and get all giddy when you see two people sneaking in quick kisses and side smirks.

Jessica and Vincent were absolutely AMAZING to work with. I mean, I shouldn’t even call it work. We all had so much fun! Honestly, by the end of their session, we were laughing and talking like good ol’ friends and I learned that the couple met through Jessica’s brother. He and Vincent were friends. We all know how it is with over-protective brothers, so Jessica and Vincent kept their relationship a secret until they could no longer hide their love for one another. SWOON.

Both of the locations we went to are located in Kapalua, on the west side of Maui. First, we headed to Honolua Bay/Forest. Photographing here always makes me feel like I’m in a fairy tale. Jessica and Vincent both looked great! Jessica got all dolled up (H&M by the talented MeiLi Autum Beauty) and looked like a modern day princess – from the details of her dress to her perfectly manicured nails. Throughout our shoot, I kept thinking, “If this girl looks this good now, I can just imagine how gorgeous she’ll be on her wedding day!” Vincent looked like the perfect gentleman while holding his bride-to-be’s hand as they strolled through the forest.

Everything seemed magical.

Next, we headed to Ironwoods beach. I love this location because of the beautiful sea cliffs along the shoreline. The turquoise blues of the ocean up against the subtle pink colors in the sky created a stunning backdrop. The lighting was great and I was able to get the sunlight peeking through the corner of my camera lens in several shots (which produces just a hint of a glow-like effect in the pictures). We headed down to the sand to capture some beach portraits and I got several very cute candid shots of the couple.

Congratulations Jessica and Vincent! It was such an honor being your Maui photographer. I wish you both the best of luck on this new journey and I hope you have the wedding of your dreams!
