Baby Hadlee: Maui Newborn Photographer

Today on the blog, we have a brand new (literally) guest. Everyone, meet Hadlee. This tiny ray of sunshine is just 3 weeks old.

Newborn sessions are my absolute favorite! I was thrilled when Tyra contacted me and we scheduled the shoot within that same week! It’s really important to have professional photos taken as soon as possible with a newborn. Ideally, I like to photograph babies before they’re a month old. There are several reasons for this. First, babies grow and change so quickly! Second, we want the baby to sleep most of the time. And third, it’s easier to have them curl up into womb-like positions.

This session took place at my home studio in Makawao. Baby Hadlee was a dream to work with and we were able to get a ton of adorable pictures! To start things off, I took some sibling photos. Brel and Gracey did an amazing job and you could tell they were already so in love with their new baby sister. Afterwards, we took some prop photos. I have everything you’ll need for a newborn session at my studio (headbands, wraps, wings, crates, baskets, a bean bag, and more). Hadlee slept majority of the time and that made it easier for us to capture a ton of cute poses!
