The Grossman Family: Maui Maternity Photography

Becoming a parent is the most beautiful and exciting time in a person’s life. There is so much change and fine-tuning involved, but joy is intertwined throughout it all.

Becoming a parent also means sleepless nights and very busy days. So why not indulge in a romantic BABYMOON before all the chaos starts? Well, that’s exactly what this gorgeous couple decided to do!

Moshe and his wife escaped to Maui all the way from Philadelphia. Moshe contacted me with the hope of surprising his wife with a maternity session (how sweet!). He wanted a location without a big crowd, which was a tough request since it was the middle of the busy season here on Maui. But I was determined to make it happen! We ultimately decided on Makena Cove (a.k.a. Secret Beach). Although it may not be so secret anymore, I made sure to check that there were no other shooting permits reserved for our specific date and time.

Makena Cove is a stunning spot for professional portraits. Jagged lava rocks scatter the shoreline and views of Molokini and Kaho’olawe can be seen in the background. We met for a sunset session and everything was perfect! The glow from the sunset was reflecting off of the shallow tide pools and it made the lighting so beautiful!

And lets not forget the stars of the show! Moshe and his wife are insanely photogenic! They win the “Cutest Couple” award in my book and they made our time together really fun. She definitely had that “new mama glow” going on and it was easy to see how much Moshe adored her.

(Sidenote: I can’t get over these outfits! The dresses Moshe’s wife chose were so gorgeous and elegant! And did you check out Moshe’s cropped baby blue pants?! We could all learn a thing or two about fashion from these folks)!
