Located in West Maui, Kapalua, Tori and Shawn had a small, intimate, beautiful wedding. Although the weather was challenging, Tori and Shawn’s wedding day was full of love and joy. Throughout the day, they both had patience and understanding around the weather. Surely, their understanding made capturing beautiful photos possible.
A little of Tori and Shawn’s back story in choosing Maui for their wedding ceremony.
Tori and Shawn’s first trip together as a couple was to Maui. So, Maui was a special place to them which held great memories. And Maui’s Pineapple Chapel Ceremony was the perfect spot for them. The chapel offered indoor options for the reception, which worked perfectly given the rainy weather. Kuya officiated the ceremony. With that said, Kuya guided Tori and Shawn through a heartfelt exchange of vows.
Furthermore, Tori’s two sisters were bridesmaids. Of course Tori’s sisters added warmth, and support throughout the day. Their love and laughter created natural, candid moments that made my job as a Maui wedding photographer easy and enjoyable. Also, the couple’s families were very supportive and cheerful.
These cherished moments made my job as a Pineapple chapel ceremony photographer easy and enjoyable.
Being that it rained, photography was challenging. We had to improvise and take photos in short bursts during dry moments. Tori and Shawn understood that the weather was uncontrollable. But their positive attitude helped the day stay lighthearted and fun. As a Maui wedding photographer, these moments are always rewarding because the photos end up feeling natural and authentic.
Even with wind and rain, the Pineapple Chapel Ceremony was beautiful. Indeed, the chapel’s indoor space was cozy and beautiful for the reception. With their family, Tori and Shawn celebrated with joy. As shown below, their love was seen through every photo. And there is no doubt the newlyweds created forever memories they will cherish.
All in all, Tori and Shawn’s wedding was a perfect example of how beautiful and memorable a wedding can be, no matter the weather. Flexibility, love, and positivity made this day truly special. Again, congratulations to Tori and Shawn on their beautiful wedding.
