Makena Cove | Toni and Martin | Maui Destination Wedding
Congratulations, Toni and Martin, on your Maui Destination Wedding.
Uniquely, the couple got married at Makena Cove. However, their reception was at Hotel Wailea. Being that they live in the Boston area, they were thrilled to have a wedding on the beach. And what better place for an intimate wedding than Maui? Indeed, they had a lovely ceremony at Makena Cove. Surely, I had a blast taking Toni and Martin’s portraits. Again, thank you for trusting me as your wedding photographer.
Right before the pandemic, Toni and Martin met on a dating app. Becasue Toni worked as a nurse practitioner she and Martin didn’t see much of their family. With that said, Toni and Martin have not had a family vacation. Certainly, it was long overdue to see family. And what better way than to gather for a wedding?
In fact, Toni and Martin had to rebook their wedding venue from the Plantation House to Makena Cove Beach. Although much of Maui was damaged, Toni and Martin were understanding. Truly, I am grateful for clients like Toni and Martin.
To begin, Toni and Martin got ready in their rooms at Hotel Wailea.
Indeed, Toni’s dress was gorgeous. Her veil’s pattern was exquisite. It was lovely seeing her mom help her get ready. Then, I photographed Toni and Martin outside. Hotel Wailea’s bridge was a great spot for wedding portraits. Afterward, at Makena Cove, I photographed Toni and Martin’s first look. Next, everyone prepared for the ceremony. The ceremony was small, private, and sweet. Uniquely, Toni’s sister officiated the wedding. Moreover, the family wore purple lei’s. On the other hand, Martin wore a kukui nut lei for enlightenment, protection, and guidance. Opposite, Toni wore a beautiful white plumeria lei for affection and respect. Then, the family was off to the reception at Hotel Wailea.
Despite Toni and Martin’s canceled original plans, their Maui Destination Wedding was wonderful. Congratulations to an amazing couple. Again, thank you for trusting me to be your photographer.
