Hui Art Center Mauian Wedding | Heather and Cody | Upcountry Maui
Since I was friends with the bride, Heather, I was honored to photograph Heather and Cody’s Mauian Wedding at the Hui Art Center. Congratulations on your marriage! Thank you for trusting me to capture your joyful Mauian wedding at the Hui Art Center.
Usually, I see Heather in workout gear at our local gym; I was in awe of her on her wedding day at the Hui Art Center. Even in sweat and without makeup at the gym, there is a natural beauty about Heather. After seeing her wearing a gown, makeup, and up-do, she looked spectacular.
Now, here is more about their Mauian Wedding day at Hui Art Center.
Firstly, Heather and Cody got ready at Lumeria in Makawao. Here, I adored photographing Heather getting prepared. Heather wore a mermaid-styled off-the-shoulder dress with a lengthy stitched with white buttons down the center. Cody wore a stylish dark blue suit with a burgundy orange colored tie.
Secondly, the Mauian wedding was beautiful. Indeed, the Hui Art Center had ample space and shade. Notably, the platform concrete and the surrounding tall trees had a peaceful vibe. Uniquely, the entire property had Asian-Hawaiian decor. Although it was a bit windy, it made for epic veil photographs.
After the ceremony at Hui Art Center, we made our way to the reception at Maui Ocean Vodka. In particular, this was a fun reception. During the Mauian wedding reception, a professional group performed music on the taiko drums. Indeed, the Mauian couple, Heather and Cody, made a lasting impression on the taiko drums. Also, there was a lot of dancing, drinks, and snacks.
Lastly, I photographed Heather and Cody for the sunset portraits. In essence, all I could say was WOW! Obvious, the Mauian couple’s portraits were beautiful! With the West Maui Mountains and the cane fields in the backdrop, their portraits were different yet marvelous.
All in all, Heather and Cody’s Mauian wedding at the Hui Art Center was amazing.
Not only did I get to see my friend wed the man of her dreams, I snapped her special day on film. Congratulations to Heather and Cody. Definitely, may you have a lifetime of adventures and love. Again, thank you for choosing me to be part of your day.
