Congratulations to Kristine and Trung on their proposal at Haleakala Summit.
In fact, Maui’s Haleakala Summit reaches 10,023 ft., which sits perfectly above the clouds. Although you’d think Maui was a warm island, the temperatures at Haleakala get below freezing. I’ve seen many people in shock at how cold it gets. So, no matter the occasion, I recommend wearing layers to keep warm.
After speaking with Trung about Haleakala Summit’s weather, Kristine and Trung opted to wear short sleeves. Without a doubt I wore layers.
Furthermore, about Trung’s proposal at the Haleakala Summit, I stood in the crowd to blend with everyone else.
At the same time, I spotted Kristine admiring the clouds. I waited patiently and listened to the crowd’s “Ohh-Aha’s,” respecting the picturesque views. After 15 minutes of appreciating the Haleakala Summit, Trung dropped to one knee. Then, Kristine noticed Trung wasn’t talking. When she turned around, she was pleasantly surprised to find him on one knee holding a ring. Of course, she said YAS! And I caught the proposal on film.
Notably, Kristine had emotions higher than Haleakala Summit clouds.
After Kristine realized I was photographing them, I introduced myself. Then, I photographed the two before and after sunset. Trung’s proposal at the Haleakala Summit was precisely what he wanted, which was a unique proposal location. Certainly, Kristine loved it. And I couldn’t agree more.
Overall, Trung and Kristine’s proposal was a success. The couple shared new memories and cold fingers and toes. Congratulations to the newly engaged couple, Trung and Kristine.
