Thank you for choosing JPV as your Oahu Wedding Photographers. Indeed, we were honored to be a part of your special day! Cheers to Wen and Andres-Congratulations.
Do you know what the color red represents in Chinese culture? It symbolizes loyalty, honor, fertility, and love. Also, gold is used to stand for wealth and fortune.
Notably, in China, a tea ceremony is a way for the couple to show the parents respect and gratitude for all the years of love and care. While wearing a two-piece dress called Qungua, Wen and Andres completed the tea ceremony to unite both families. Although this was our first time experiencing a Chinese wedding tradition, it was a beautiful and peaceful tea ceremony.
Now the other Chinese wedding tradition included door games for the groom to complete before seeing the bride. Typically, the games take place in the bride’s home. But in this case, we were at the hotel. After the completion of the games, the Andres got to see his stunning bride. Admittedly, these games seem fun!
What an experience. If you didn’t know, one of my favorite things about weddings is the details! And oh, I fell in love with the details of Wen’s Chinese dress, white wedding dress, shoes, teacups, the florals, hair and makeup, and all the accessories. And of course, the stunning Chun and Andres!
Thank you again for trusting us as your Oahu Wedding photograhers who captured your cherished lifetime moments. We were thankful to embrace your cultural traditions. We wish you a lifetime of love, wealth, and health!
