This Maui engagement photographer, was excited to shoot this session. For Katie and Joe’s photography session, they came ready for some sun, sand, and a pineapple in hand.
With Maui being one of the top places for lovers to celebrate, Katie and Joe did just that. Ditching California for Maui, this beautiful couple celebrated their recent engagement. Because the two have few photos together, this was a perfect opportunity to start creating memories on film. For the most part, Katie’s only request was lush greenery and water. So, what better combination than Honolua Forest and Ironwoods Beach. These locations are close in driving distance and perfect for capturing two diverse surroundings.
Surly, my favorite thing about being a Maui engagement photographer is being creative with clients like Katie and Joe.
Since Maui is famous for its tropical vibes and mouth-watering fresh pineapple, they brought a pineapple for a prop. YAS, having a pineapple for this Maui engagement photography session was perfect. Not only was it the ideal prop for Katie’s diamond shot, but it was also a tasty snack post-session. And if you’re like me, you could eat pineapple all day long! Who else loves the sweet smell and taste of pineapples?
With having two separate photoshoot locations, it calls for wardrobe changes.
As shown below, the engaged couple dressed sleek at Honolua Forest. Katie’s fun mini yellow dress yelled tropical vibes and feeling alive. Surely, they took center stage in the jungle by showing off their enormous affection. So stylish!
Next, Katie and Joe changed outfits.
At Ironwoods beach, Joe rocked his Aloha attire. Different from the previous shoot, Katie took on a full length, flowy dress. One of my favorite things about shooting outside is mother nature’s gifts. So, as Katie’s dress caught air, I snapped some terrific shots of the dress under the wings of the wind. Not to mention, Katie and Joe’s colors contrasted well against the pineapple hotshots.
All in all, this was a fun, creative engagement photography shoot.
