Generally speaking, I think photographers agree that a photograph is the pause button of life.
With that being said, I was honored to photograph a fellow photographer, Teri, and her gorgeous family for their Maui family session. Originally from southern California, they now live in Washington state. Visiting with her husband and children, Terri was looking for family photos at a beach with some tropical trees. Of course Maui beaches had Teri’s vision covered.
This family was such a joy to shoot. Fun, relaxed, and ready to model.
Being the Gelbmann family were staying in Kihei, we chose sunset at White Rock Beach. Surprised, Teri’s kids were open to take pictures but I guess having a mom as a photographer, they were happy to partake in family pictures. As can be seen, this family of four knew how to pose with each snap. Looking stylish and sleek they dressed the part. Here we got some fire shots of Teri and her hubby. Don’t they look good together? Likewise, Teri’s children’s whimsical characters made for some memorable shots. Surely my favorite shot is of the children kissing mom on the cheek. Which is your favorite?
Altogether a perfect mix of Maui’s tropical greenery, the pacific ocean, and swayed palm trees, I think sunset at White Rock Beach was perfect for this family’s vision. Wouldn’t you agree?
