Indeed Meleah and Taylor’s Engagement Photo Session was one of a kind. Being a professional Maui Photographer, I arrive to photo shoot about 10 minutes early. For this reason, I like to browse the premises to make sure everything is perfect for my clients session. Definitely each morning of a session, I check Maui’s weather and traffic. And with all that preparation, unexpected things can happen. Unfortunately, the day we were to meet, my truck called it quits. All of a sudden I was stranded at a gas station in Maalaea. In that moment, I was frustrated with thoughts of “why now”?
But then I thought…”Everything happens for a reason”…
Thankfully, Meleah and Taylor were understanding, flexible, and open to rescheduling with a new location and time. Due to cancellation, we rescheduled a session at White Rock Beach. On the positive side, Meleah and Taylor got a great tour of Maui’s coast driving from the Ritz Carlton Hotel to Wailea. Again, I arrived 10 minutes early. Talk about BEAUTIFUL! When I saw Meleah and Taylor, I thought, “A match made in heaven”! I admired Meleah’s elegant dress laced with an exquisite top. Surely Taylor also came dressed to impress. They were extremely kind and genuine. After the first few snaps of Meleah and Taylor, the pair got an enormous feeling of what Aloha means.
Here I realized, “Everything happens for a reason”…
We spotted a group of canoe paddlers offshore, moving horizontally in the Pacific Ocean. Then we realized the canoe was inching closer to us. To the pair’s amazement, the paddlers approached Meleah and Taylor, giving them a Hawaiian blessing; chanted in Hawaiian. Meleha and Taylor were given an Aloha blessing with a beautiful lei. This will forever be a treasured memory for Meleha and Taylor of Aloha.
After seeing this, it all makes sense why meeting them didn’t allow the first time. Uniquely, the sunrise session gave Meleah and Taylor a memory they will carry in their hearts forever.
