Professional Family Photo Shoot in Maui

What do you do when your ENTIRE family decides to vacation on Maui all the way from the East Coast? You schedule a professional family photo shoot in Maui on a beautiful beach of course! The Spencer family definitely knows how to have a good time and they know how to do it looking good! Honestly you guys, this bunch showed up with outfits that were so on point, it BLEW MY MIND. It made my job too easy =)

The Spencer’s were staying at the Four Seasons in Wailea, located on the South side of Maui. I suggested that we do the session at White Rock beach since it was right down the road from their hotel. We met for a sunrise session and I have to give these guys props for waking up at 6:00am on their vacation!

By now, you probably all know that the South side is my favorite place to shoot sunset sessions, but there is definitely something special about sunrise as well. You don’t have to worry about gusty winds and the early morning lighting creates a kind of softness in each photo.

There were 11 people in this family and I love big groups because usually, that means more conversations and more stories to be shared. With that said, it can sometimes be difficult to get everyone, including the children, to look into the lens at the same time. But we did it!!! We got a gorgeous shot of EVERYONE looking at the camera AND smiling! Mind you, 3 out of the 11 in this group were babies! I’d say that’s cause for celebration!
