Sometimes, a couple wants to have their wedding portraits taken during their honeymoon. And that was exactly the case for the Derosa couple. Certainly, they made a fantastic choice at The Ritz-Carlton in Kapalua for their Maui Ritz Wedding Portraits. As a Maui wedding photographer, I loved capturing these intimate portrait session.
Indeed, the bride looked elegant in her off-the-shoulder white dress. Strikingly, she carried a beautiful bouquet filled with white flowers and soft periwinkle blooms. Also, the groom looked sharp in a classic grey suit. Together, they were the perfect match against the lush tropical scenery.

Notably, the beautiful grounds were full of tropical plants, colorful flowers, and peaceful walking paths. Every corner of the property created a stunning background for wedding portraits. After exploring the gardens, we headed to Ironwoods Beach.
For the second part of the Derosa’s wedding portraits, we ventured to the cliffs. Certainly, this location is one of Maui’s hidden gems and offers dramatic ocean views. With that said, the dark lava rocks create a striking contrast against the bright blue water and the bride’s white dress. It is a favorite location for couples looking for something both romantic and adventurous. Of course, Maui wedding photographers appreciate the incredible scenery and variety Ironwoods has to offer.
Uniquely, I photographed the couple on the lava rocks as the waves crashed along the walls. I also captured relaxed moments as they walked hand in hand along the sandy beach. The tropical gardens, rugged lava rocks, and the beautiful coastline gave them a wonderful variety of images to remember this special day.
